I'm Still Here!

Sorry if you came to my blog today or last night and found all of the messages gone, I am not leaving, I am not shutting this blog down. I don't know what happened, I didn't do it. :) I haven't been tweaking anything, I just logged in today and found my messages missing. Fortunately the messages weren't gone, they were just not showing. I tweaked the number of messages that show on the front page and the messages reappeared. I don't know what happened, but I'm glad it was an easy fix.

Heirloom vs Hybrid Seeds

Now is the time to choose. If you are a gardener, especially if you grow a vegetable garden, you should be receiving all of those shiny new seed catalogs. They are enticing with those glossy pages of colorful, lovely fruits and veggies. Have you noticed the influx of new seedless, hybrid fruits and veggies for sale though the big name seed catalogs? I just received an email advert from one of the biggest seed companies for a seedless tomato of all things! My first thought is have we gotten so lazy and spoiled that we can't deal with the seeds in a tomato?

I'm Getting Around...

Hello my loyal readers. I have some good news, I have been asked to write for another website, this one is called "Earth Power News", it's a green site, they talk about all things off grid, solar, wind and hydro power, and such. This is a great place, please visit and check them out. I will post a blurb here every time I write an article there. This is getting to be quite fun, I have really enjoyed writing here and for the other sites, the more the merrier! :)

Be watching for my first article coming soon. Just be aware that when I write for either site, I have to wait 24 hours before I can post anything about it here, that's to give the search engines a chance to see my article as original content on that website, the search engines don't like seeing duplicate material on different sites appearing at the same time, they will penalize your listing as spamming and you will fall farther down the list when someone does a search that would find your site. Hope that makes sense, it makes perfect sense to my mind. :)

Well Duh!

The headline reads "Free Range Chickens More Prone To Disease", just Google it and you will find page after page of the same story, it seems that "someone" is trying to prove that free range chickens are no better or possibly worse than caged chickens. And I am ticked off about it!

Travel Trailer/Redneck Games pt 1

It took 3 days, lots of sweat, nerves of steel, and a lot of that Archimedes factor to get a small travel trailer from one side of the creek to the other. Should be easy… that’s what I thought!
