Simple Question

Or maybe it's not so simple...

If you could change one thing about your life (or yourself), what would be it and why?

Leave your answer in the comments section. I'm very curious to see what will be written, I'll write my answer later, I have one but don't want to influence anyone's answer. :)

I'll temporarily remove restrictions on posting comments, anyone can comment, the comments will still be moderated though.  Sorry, had to put the restrictions back on for anonymous postings, thanks spammers, you ruin it for everyone.

  1. I'd like to have to guts to quit my job and try to live off of what I grow and do in my current spare time. The pressure of supporting my family makes that too tough to pull off right now. I want to give them the best. However my definition of ":the best" seems to be rapidly changing with age. Good question Wretha. I look forward to reading what you have to say!

  2. thats a really hard question, one thing, there shouldnt be anything because we have power over our reality but...there is always a but there are things, most of us want a different job or bigger garden, get rid of debt etc but to choose just one, "the one" mine would have to be "if i could be as gutsy and outspoken in real life as i can be on line then i could dissolve lots of the other things id like to change. or not being so deep i could just say id like my job to reflect my philosophy on life (but again that is deep)

  3. I would be more careful that everything I say is in love. I think I often speak out of impatience and injure others.

  5. Wow! This shouldn't be as hard as it is. I like most of my life right now. It would be nice if my wife wasn't dealing with some long term health issues, but they haven't stopped us from making life an adventure.

Dealt with a lot of the harsh stuff years ago, and I'm living well now because of it. Got lucky with a few things too. I am blessed.

  6. I wished I could change the fact that I could pay for all my girls education instead of her having to take out student loans and starting life off so far in dept. None in our family has ever made as far as she has and it is a crying shame she will spend half her life paying it back. If I could change something it would be that she gets a better start than that.

  7. I wished i had dropped out of high school and never attended junior college. I would have used the extra time to educate myself and work more on personal projects . . .

  8. Wow that's a hard question. Our lives are filled with choices and some we regret and some we don't. But to try to sum up one thing that I would change about myself....well, it kinda depends on my emotional state and events happening around me. These all influence the "one" thing I would change. I guess, I wish i had been better with money. Money and relationships and they kinda go hand in hand, not two separate items. At present that's where i stand.

  9. I think it would have to be "patience". I want out of the big city "DFW" yesterday and things just aren't that simple.

  10. I'm going to give you the first thought that came to my mind. Other ideas followed, but here's the first -

I wish I would stop drinking so much and lose 20 pounds.

    They're ya go.

  11. I'd like to support myself financially a different way--one that didn't involve 40 hours a week at a desk bored silly.

  12. I wish I'd have listened to my heart and gut years ago, and lived life my way instead of buckling down to the "supposed to" for so long.

  13. I am trying to learn how to write my own Mac apps now that my son has been hired by Apple. I have one app that my son and I wrote together (Precinct Commissioner program called Highway One, well I spec'ed out databases and he did programing) which he will transfer to me as soon as he sees my app I am doing by myself for construction superintendents or someone wanting to manage a custom home building project, I will then be able to retire from working for someone else (although only 3 days a week) and work for myself from anywhere. That is why I have dropped from #1 poster to off the list and that is the way I want to keep it.

Besides, having some breathing problems with this extreme heat.

But I do pop in from time to time.
